I do not see anything wrong with self-esteem however the invincibility/ego feeling can be replaced by pay-it-forward. If I were him & 50+, I would consider using the wisdom & giving back by helping others to become "invincible CIO". This country does need invincible CIOs if innovation-thru-technology has a role to play in changing the lifes of people much faster than it is actually doing.
